Overview
You would not believe how easy it is to retrofit in heated seats! (Ignoring the price).
Mazda was nice enough to include all wiring preinstalled, even in the sport models! (I would double check just to be safe before continuing though). To make it work all you need is a set of seats and the control panel. If you continue to follow this guide, you will get to enjoy a nice toasty seat. If you are in Australia and really want those luxurious factory Recaro's the best place to look is Yahoo Japan Auctions.

Wiring
Before beginning the project or purchasing any items, please confirm the wiring for the seat heaters is there. For my 2015 Sport, the wiring was still there although not plugged in, similar to other left behind plugs such as that for the DRL's and Interior Boot Release Switch.

Control Panel Installation
- To begin, the front console panel must be removed. To do this, grip the left side and pull outwards to unclip.
- Now repeat on the right side, and the panel should pull away, exposing the seat heater control panel screws.
- After removing both screws holding in the control panel, a single plug on the back is left to unclip.
- Finally, reverse the process with the new panel with heater controls to complete the installation.
Seat Installation
- Before doing anything, first disconnect the battery and let the car sit for about 10 minutes. This is due to working with airbags inside the seat.
